Announcements 10/9/2011

Church group trip to the Creation Museum on Saturday, October 22nd. Meet at the church at 7:30 am.

November 13th at 6pm we will be filling the shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse.  There will be a potluck meal of soup and sandwiches. We still need items like toothbrushes and items for older girls and boys.

 
 

Announcements 4/17

We are starting a children’s church downstairs on Sunday mornings. We will need volunteers to help with it, please see Joy if you want to help.

All the trash in the mowing zone on 607 between 127 and 227 was picked up this week. A huge thanks to everyone that came to help.

Music practice tonight is at 6pm. New beginnings please attend to practice music for service next week.

Next week is Easter. As tradition at our church, the men will meet at the church as 5am to cook breakfast. Everyone else be here at 6:45am for sunrise service and breakfast.

The Faith Singers that were supposed to be performing tomorrow have re-scheduled for next sunday December 12th at 11am.

 
 

Installing Love

Tech Support: Yes, Ma’am…. how can I help you?

Customer: Well, after much consideration, I’ve decided to install Love. Can you guide me though the process?

Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Customer: Well, I’m not very technical, but I think I’m ready. What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart, ma’am?

Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Criticizing is easy. Art is difficult.

Once upon a time there was a painter who had just completed his course under disciple hood of a great painter. This young artist decided to assess his skills of skills so he decided to give his best strokes on the canvass. He took 3 days and painted beautiful scenery.

Suddenly an idea flashed in his mind and he decided to display it on a busy street-square of that small town he was resident of. He wanted people’s opinion about his calibre and painting skills.

He put his creation at a busy street-crossing. And just down below a board which read-”Gentlemen, I have painted this piece. Since I’m new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. Please put a cross wherever you see a mistake.”

While he came back in the evening to collect his painting he was completely shattered to see that whole canvass was filled with Xs (crosses) and some people had even written their comments on the painting.
